Can you imagine waking up one day and seeing that the sea and beaches are covered in black goo? Can you imagine a ship loaded with oil splitting in half off the coast of Galicia? Can you imagine sailors going out to sea to collect tar instead of fish and the most significant fishing region in Europe suddenly ceasing its supply?

Although right now it seems impossible to believe, this is what happened in Galicia on November 13th in 2002, 20 years ago. Therefore, this Wednesday, you are invited to learn a little more about this tragedy that devastated Galicia. We want you to know the story of our people, who were left without their main economic means for long months. The story of a people who thought they would never see the sea again as it had been before the accident. People who took to the streets to demand justice while the politicians looked the other way.

We will be waiting for you next Wednesday, November 16th, at Café de Mario at 8 p.m.

THE DOCUMENTARY IS IN SPANISH AND HAS NO SUBTITLES, so not all of you may be able to understand the dialogues. In any case, you are all welcome.
