This Sunday we invite you to attend the solidarity march of the year: the Aspanaex March, a 9 km hike through the streets of Vigo whose aim is to raise awareness about the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.

Aspanaex is a nonprofit organization for people with intellectual disabilities in the province of Pontevedra, which since 1963 works to improve the quality of life of these people and their families.

In order to participate, you should go on Sunday, October 4th, at 09:30 a.m. to PLAZA AMÉRICA, where an ESN volunteer will be waiting for you. Just for ONE EURO, you will receive a gift for the registration, provisioning along the route and you will take part in a raffle after the event.

How does the Aspanaex March work?

  • 10:00 - Delivery of the Corazón Solidario to the participants
  • 10:15 - Inauguration speech. This year, the speech will be read by the athlete Susana Rodríguez, who is a paratriathlon champion (swimming, running and cycling). 
  • 10:30 - Start of the 32nd Edition of the Solidarity March Aspanaex 

Itinerary: Auditorio del Parque de Castrelos, Avenida de Castrelos, Plaza América, Camelias, Venezuela , Gran Vía, Urzáiz, Príncipe, Puerta del Sol, Elduayen, Pi y Margall, Plaza América, Avenida de Castrelos, Auditorio del Parque de Castrelos. The overall distance is 9 kilometres.

This is not about running or being the first one, but about walking with people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
