Cíes Islands

Did you know that Galicia is home to the Atlantic Islands Maritime–Terrestrial National Park? You’ll discover it with ESN Vigo! How? With this wonderful trip to the Cíes Islands! 

These islands are a unique landscape you can't miss if you’re in Galicia: hiking route through green hills, swims in crystal-clear turquoise waters and, of course, take the best photos for your feed.

The trip will be on Sunday, September 28th. We’lll meet at the Estatua do Nadador, Vigo at 10 a.m., and the return ferry from the Cíes Islands departs at 7:30 p.m; there will also be an earlier return at 5:30 p.m.

How much does it cost?

With your ESNcard, the trip (return ferry) costs €15. The deadline to register and pay will be Sunday, September 21th (inclusive), or until spots sell out, so don't hesitate!

Remember to bring:

Food, snacks, and plenty of water: although there is a restaurant on the island, we recommend bringing your own food.

Sun protection SPF 50: even if it’s cloudy. Don't be fooled, the sun can be treacherous.

Comfortable clothing and footwear, swimsuit, towel, and a desire to walk and explore.

A bag for your rubbish: remember that the Cíes Islands are a protected natural area and there are no bins anywhere on the island.  Let’s look after nature and the environment!
