We propose to you a trekking route in Pontevedra for this weekend, from A Peregrina to the Archaeological Area of A Caeira.

Date: Saturday 3rd October 2015
Meeting point and time of departure: Praza da Peregrina, 17.00
Weather forecast: Foggy.
Required equipment: Comfortable shoes, sportswear, some food and a drink.

This coming Sunday we’ll enjoy A Caiera’s mirador (a mirador is a key spot where one can enjoy spectacular sightseeing), on the outskirts of Pontevedra. We will visit the Archaeological Area of A Caeira, an open natural space where we’ll find amazing petroglyphs from the Bronze Era (1800 bc). We’ll also see the place where Alexandre Bóveda, a distinguished promoter of Galician nationalist movement, as well as other rebels, were executed during the Spanish Civil War.

But that's not the only thing going on: taking into account that the national day of the ostomised patient is tomorrow Saturday, we have thought it would be great to take part in a Facebook campaign to support the patients who have gone through this operation. For those of you who don't know what Crohn Syndrome is, take a look at this site.

If you type “Proyecto Gesto” on Facebook, you will see that many people are uploading pictures wearing an ostomy pouch stuck to their abdomen, some of them made of paper, some made of cardboard and some of them drawn directly in their bellies. It is just a supportive gesture that will not take longer than 5 minutes. So, if you feel like it, bring your “bags” with yourselves and we will take a group picture to join the Facebook campaign :) Notice that a lot of people customize the bags with messages or drawings – the more creative we get, the better the picture will look!

Cheers, see you guys on Saturday!
