San Simón & Meirande

Would you like to live a new adventure with ESN Vigo? Embark with us on Thursday, 12th of October (bank holiday in Spain), at 2PM in the port of Vigo! We will set sail to the unknown and mysterious San Simón Island, a small island with a lot of history and culture behind it, located at the bottom of the Vigo estuary.
We will spend an entertaining day in which we will take a pleasant boat trip along the estuary to discover all the secrets and curiosities of San Simón Island, where Templar monks and political prisoners during the dictatorship lived... Nowadays, it is a magical and beautiful place where different cultural activities are held.
We will also stop at MEIRANDE, a museum where we will hear the story of the Battle of Rande, a key episode in the history of Vigo. Once we arrive, there will be a guided tour and a treasure hunt that will allow us to discover all the curiosities of the island in a fun way. The best groups will win a prize!
We will be accompanied by professional guides for both visits, in English and Spanish.
